Hi Jarrod! Taarka just came through Oakland and I saw them (and loved the show), but couldn’t figure out why I had their name flagged as a band I wanted to see. As I was leaving, I overheard someone ask a band member “do you ever hear from Jarrod?” (or something like that) and it clicked– I used to always see that band’s name in my inbox on your tour updates! So, I just wanted to say hello and see how life is in your corner of the world these days. I’m still playing violin, picked it up again in 2009 after a 10 year hiatus, and am performing with the Oakland Civic Orchestra, a community group (but pretty high end for a bunch of voluntary members). Today we’re playing Mozart’s Requiem for the 9/11 holiday. Anyway, hope all is well with you! Blessings, Sara
